Until February 2017, Mary was VP Insight in the Brands team at BBC Worldwide. Based in London, she was supporting the teams working on our Branded Services and Content with insight from across the insight team (research, ratings, industry reports and digital / social). She was inspiring them, stretching them, challenging them and serving them. Kyriakidi led a team of local analysts working across EMEA, USA, Australia, Latin America and Asia. Kyriakidi worked across all market operations and was responsible for driving the editorial propositions for the channel brands, targeting successful marketing campaigns and leading research pitches for affiliate and advertising sales negotiations.
Prior to GfK and BBC Worldwide, Kyriakidi worked at Discovery Networks Europe where she was integral to numerous channel launches in Russia, Turkey, South Africa and the Middle East. Before that, she worked for the privately-owned TV network, Antenna, in her native Greece.
Kyriakidi studied Economics at the University of Athens and holds an MSc from London School of Economics.
