Crispin started in book publishing and spent the first 10 years of his career in media and advertising. In the early 1990s he became fascinated by the emerging opportunities coming from the Internet. This led to a change in career direction and now he has over 20 years in technology and telecommunications. Crispin has led roles in Innovation, IT, engineering and operations. Today he leads the Consumer and Mobility team in Telstra and is responsible for designing, building and lifecycle managing world class products. His team are responsible for mobile and fixed, broadband, voice, video, messaging, connected home and IOT products.
Telstra is currently undergoing a significant network transformation, as part of that Crispin championed Telstra’s early adoption of SDN and NFV. Now he is focused on how to use a microservices architecture, orchestration and automation to deliver higher resilience and availability as well as reducing the time taken to deploy compelling products offers to markets.
Crispin holds an MBA from RMIT University Melbourne.
